BIRTH-12 MONTHS
THE FIRST YEARS OF LIFE IS A CRITICAL TIME FOR BRAIN DEVELOPMENT AS WELL AS SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT. PROVIDING EXCELLENT CHILD CARE ALSO BEGINNING THE LEARNING PROCESS THAT WILL ALLOW EACH BABY TO BEGIN TO OBSERVE HIS/HER SURROUNDINGS, TO RETAIN INFORMATION HE/SHE GAINS FROM HIS/HER EXPERIENCES. THE TEACHERS PLAN ACTIVITIES FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL CHILD BASED ON THE CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT PROCESS THAT IS IN PLACE. THEY ALSO WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH EACH INFANT'S FAMILY TO SET GOALS FOR HIM/HER AND TO CONTINUOUSLY EVALUATE PROGRESS TOWARD THESE GOALS.
2ND GRADE TO 13YEARS OF AGE
SCHOOL-AGERS RECEIVE CARE BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL AS WELL ON DAYS WHEN SCHOOL IS NOT IN SESSION. INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO HOLIDAY BREAKS, SNOW DAYS, EARLY RELEASE DAYS AND 1/2 DAYS.
13-24 MONTHS
THE TODDLER AGE GROUP IS VERY UNIQUE, ALL CHILDREN ARE SEEN AS INDIVIDUALS, IN WHICH WE RECOGNIZE AND ENCOURAGE THESE DIFFERENCES. TEACHERS ALLOW FOR EACH CHILD TO BEGIN DEFINING HIS/HER OWN SENSE OF INDEPENDENCE. OUR TODDLER CLASSROOMS FOLLOW DAILY ROUTINE THAT IS CONSISTENT YET FLEXIBLE. THE CHILDREN QUICKLY LEARN TO ANTICIPATE WHAT WILL COME NEXT IN THEIR DAY AND BEGIN TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR INITIATIVE.
37 MONTHS- 1ST GRADE
KATZ KIDZ FOCUS ON DEVELOPING SOCIAL SKILLS AND DEVELOPING A DESIRE FOR LEARNING IN EACH ECHILD. WHILE IT FEELS LIKE "WE PLAY ALL DAY", WE ARE VERY STRATEGIC IN OUR PLANNING TO ENSURE THAT OUR EXPECTATIONS ARE APPROPRIATE FOR THE CURRENT GROUP OF CHILDREN WE ARE WORKING WITH. THROUGH PLAY THE CHILDREN LEARN PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS, DEVELOP INITIATIVE AND PRACTICE MATH, SCIENCE, READING, AND WRITING THROUGHOUT EVERY PART OF THE DAY.
